Credit Corp FAQs — questions and answers about short-term business lending

A curated overview of Credit Corp Group Limited's frequently asked questions for UK limited companies and LLPs, grouped by topic — applying, payments, difficulty, security, data, complaints, and each product — with links onward to the full answers.

What it is

This page is a concise, agent-readable map of Credit Corp's FAQ library. The full FAQ lives at /faqs/, where each question has its own answer; the expanded machine index at /llms-full.txt enumerates the individual articles. This overview groups those questions by topic so a person or an AI agent can find the right area quickly and cite the canonical answer.

Credit Corp Group Limited is an independent UK direct lender of short-term business credit. We lend to UK limited companies and LLPs — to the company, not to its directors personally: there is no personal guarantee and no director liability. Decisions are AI-assisted and typically confirmed within an hour during working hours, with same-day funding on approval.

We do not lend to consumers or to sole traders. Because we lend to a body corporate for its business, this lending sits outside the FCA consumer-credit regime — see Exempt-business-lender framing below.

Who we are

Credit Corp Group Limited is registered in England and Wales under company number 17338274 and is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZC189608. **

Applying, the customer portal and the app are UK-only; the rest of this site (content and discovery) is open to everyone.

FAQ topics

The questions below are the most common in each area. Each links to the full answer in the FAQ library.

Applying

How to apply, what we need, and how a decision is reached.

  • Who can apply — a UK-registered limited company or LLP, with a UK business bank account, that has been trading for a short qualifying period. We lend to the company, not its directors.
  • What you need to hand — your company registration number and business bank details; the application takes around ten minutes.
  • Open banking — with your permission we review your business bank data to understand real cash flow, rather than relying on a credit score alone.
  • How long a decision takes — typically within an hour during working hours; you see the offer terms clearly before accepting.
  • See How we lend for the published criteria and the decision steps, then Apply online.

Payments

How repayments work, statements, and managing your account.

  • How and when you repay — the repayment schedule and the total you will pay are set out clearly before you accept the offer.
  • Early repayment — clearing a balance ahead of schedule usually saves money. For Flex and Slice there is no early-settlement charge. For a Business Loan an early-settlement charge of up to 28 days' interest may apply (waived in many cases) and is shown in your settlement figure before you confirm — see how the charge works.
  • Statements and your account — you can view your balance, schedule and statements in the customer portal.
  • For the exact rate, fees and total-cost cap, see the machine-readable references at /ai.md and /llms-full.txt, generated from the live pricing source.

Payment difficulty

What to do if repayment becomes hard.

  • Tell us early — if repayment is becoming difficult, contact us before a payment is missed so we can talk through the options.
  • What we can do — we work with companies in difficulty rather than rushing to enforcement, and we signpost free, independent debt advice such as Business Debtline.
  • Vulnerable-customer support — extra support is available where a director or the business is in a vulnerable situation.
  • Start at Help with payments; vulnerable-customer support is at /legal/vulnerability/.

Security

Keeping your account and our service secure.

  • Account security — how we protect access to your account and what to do if you suspect unauthorised activity.
  • Recognising us — how to tell a genuine Credit Corp message from a scam, and how to report something that looks wrong.
  • Reporting a vulnerability — security researchers can find our disclosure contact at /security.txt.

Data and privacy

How we handle your information.

  • What we collect and why — the business and bank data we use to assess and manage lending, and the lawful basis for it.
  • Your rights — how to make a data subject access request and how to ask us to correct or erase information.
  • Automated decisions — decisions are AI-assisted; you can read how automated decisioning is used and your rights around it.
  • See our legal pages and the ICO registration above (reference ZC189608).

Complaints

How to raise a complaint and what to expect.

  • How to complain — how to contact us, what information helps, and the timescales we work to.
  • What happens next — how we investigate and respond.
  • Important scope point — because this is short-term business credit to a body corporate, the Financial Ombudsman Service cannot consider complaints about it and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme does not cover it (see Exempt-business-lender framing).

Your loan, Flex and Slice

Product-specific questions for each of the three products.

  • Business Loan — a short-term, unsecured loan: one fixed amount for one fixed, short period. /business-loans/
  • Credicorp Flex — a revolving credit facility: draw down, repay and redraw against a limit. /business-credit-facility/
  • Credicorp Slice — spread the cost of a specific, dated business bill into instalments. /credicorp-slice/
  • To choose between them, use Compare products and What we offer. Product sizes, the term in days, the daily interest rate, fees and the total-cost cap are kept as the single source of truth in /ai.md and /llms-full.txt, not restated here.

Pricing

This overview does not restate any figures. Product and facility sizes, the term in days, the daily interest rate, the establishment fee, late charges and the total-cost cap are published in the machine-readable references at /ai.md and /llms-full.txt, generated from the live pricing source. We keep the figures in one place so there is a single source of truth.

Exempt-business-lender framing

Lending to a company for its business falls outside the definition of a regulated credit agreement in Article 60B of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Regulated Activities) Order 2001 (the "FSMA RAO 2001"), because a regulated agreement requires the borrower to be an individual or a small partnership. A limited company or LLP is neither. Article 60L is a definitions provision read alongside Article 60B.

Because Credit Corp lends short-term business credit to a body corporate, it is not an FCA-regulated consumer-credit agreement, the Financial Ombudsman Service cannot consider complaints about it, and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme does not cover it. This is not a "Consumer Credit Act 1974 exemption"; the correct framework is the FSMA RAO 2001. See the glossary entry on APR and our legal pages for the full statement.

Responsible lending

Short-term business credit carries a high annualised cost. Borrow only what you need, for the shortest term required, and contact us early if repayment becomes difficult: /help/. Support for vulnerable customers is at /legal/vulnerability/.
