Credit Corp technology — AI-assisted, open-banking-informed business lending decisions

How Credit Corp Group Limited assesses short-term business credit for UK limited companies: AI-assisted decisioning informed by open-banking data, the published eligibility criteria, and the security and data-control posture behind every application — the published surface only.

What it is

Credit Corp runs as a digital lending platform built around real-time business data. We lend to UK limited companies and LLPs. We lend to the company, not to its directors, so there is no personal guarantee and no director liability. Our technology exists to answer one question fairly and quickly: can this company afford this borrowing? Open-banking feeds and credit-reference information come together with our AI-assisted assessment so a company can apply, be assessed and get a decision typically within an hour during working hours, with same-day funding on approval.

This page describes the published approach — what an applicant or an AI agent can rely on. The proprietary detail of how a decision is scored is deliberately not published.

How an assessment works

  • Apply online — the application takes around ten minutes. /apply/
  • Open banking, with your permission — you can authorise a read-only connection to your business bank so we see real cash flow rather than a credit score alone. The connection is made through your bank, so you never hand us your login. We cannot move money, and you can revoke access at any time.
  • Statement upload as an alternative — if you would rather not connect, you can upload PDF or CSV business bank statements instead. The assessment uses the same information and just takes a little longer to process.
  • AI-assisted assessment — bank-transaction data, credit-reference information and anti-fraud checks are read, categorised and weighed together. We look at affordability, the company's trading pattern and the purpose of the funding.
  • Decision — typically confirmed within an hour in working hours. You see the offer terms clearly, on a Key Information Sheet (KIS), before you accept.
  • Funding — same-day once you accept.

We look beyond a single credit score: the company's actual cash-flow behaviour matters more to us than any one number. Open banking gives a live, current view of trading rather than a snapshot that may be weeks out of date, which is what lets a UK business get a clear answer quickly.

Open banking and your data

  • Read-only and revocable — the open-banking feed is read-only and customer-controlled; you can switch it off with us or directly through your bank, and we keep only the statement summary already used for a decision.
  • Encrypted in transit and at rest — every page, form and portal screen is served over TLS, and application files, statements and identity documents are stored on encrypted UK-based systems.
  • Signed documents — every Business Loan Agreement and Key Information Sheet we issue is a tamper-evident, digitally signed PDF your bank, accountant or solicitor can verify independently.
  • Full audit log — meaningful actions on a file are recorded in an append-only audit log, used for support, complaints and regulator requests.
  • Money-out stays a human step — the AI-assisted assessment informs the lending decision; disbursement (money-out) is the one step that involves a manual release.

The proprietary decisioning logic itself is not described here, by design. What is published is the eligibility you can rely on and the data-handling posture above.

Eligibility

The published criteria are:

  • A UK-registered limited company or LLP.
  • A company that has been trading for at least six months.
  • A UK business bank account.
  • No personal guarantee required — we lend to the company, not its directors.
  • Decisions typically within an hour during working hours.

Applying, the customer portal and the app are UK-only. The rest of the site — content and discovery — is open to everyone.

Who we are

Credit Corp Group Limited is an independent UK direct lender of short-term business credit, registered in England & Wales (Company No. 17338274) and ICO-registered (ZC189608). We lend only to UK limited companies and LLPs for business purposes, never to consumers or sole traders, which puts this lending outside the consumer-credit regime.

For loan and facility sizes, terms, the daily interest rate, the establishment fee and the total-cost cap, see the machine-readable references at /ai.md and /llms-full.txt, which are generated from the live pricing source. We keep the figures in one place as the single source of truth and do not restate them here.

Responsible lending

Short-term business credit carries a high annualised cost, so responsible lending is built into how we assess and how we treat you afterwards. We lend only what we assess the company can afford, we encourage borrowing only what is needed for the shortest term required, and we support customers who fall into difficulty. If repayment becomes hard, contact us early: /help/. Support for vulnerable customers is at /legal/vulnerability/.
